Oliver gained a degree in Estate Management from Oxford Brookes University and qualified as a professional member of the RICS shortly after. He joined Dyer Commercial after nine years working for King Sturge Property Consultants in Bath and Bristol. During this time he worked in Retail, Office and Industrial Agency. More recently he has practised within the professional fields of Landlord & Tenant, Development, Consultancy and Valuation.

At Dyer and Hobbis his involvement in agency as well as professional work provides first hand evidence to inform his Landlord & Tenant and Valuation caseload. Oliver has considerable experience in Development Consultancy as well Leasehold Reform matters. Oliver is also an RICS Registered Valuer.

Outside of work Oliver is a keen paddleboarder, surfer and loves relaxing at the beach with his family. He also enjoys maintaining and driving Classic cars.

Alex obtained his degree in Estate Management at Greenwich University in 1989. He then went on to manage various corporate Estate Agents throughout Sussex gaining a solid grounding for the agency market.

He joined Dyer Commercial in 1999 leaving the residential market behind and has since worked at becoming this area's leading Commercial Agent. Having qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2002 his work in the Retail, Industrial and Office markets gives him an unrivalled local knowledge of this sector.

Alex specialises in the agency side of our business and is also fully qualified to prepare Commercial Energy Performance Certificates and so can offer the full range of agency services to our clients.

Leisure interests revolve mainly around his family which ‘takes up most of his time out of work’. He says ‘Don’t get me wrong, this is not a chore, I wouldn’t have it any other way’. His main ways of relaxing out of the office include a love of cooking and a passion for live music. The latter only in the audience and the former only with a good cook book and an empty stomach!

Colin entered the property profession in 1966 joining Scott Kendon & Ronald Pearce of Ashford Kent as a trainee surveyor and qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in 1971. He went on to become an elected Fellow in 1983.

Between 1968 and 1975 Colin practiced in Maidstone, Chichester & Colchester before returning to Sussex in 1975 to take up a partnership in the family Auctioneering & Estate Agency business, Vidler & Co. in Rye.

He moved to Bexhill in 1988 to take up an appointment as an Area Survey & Valuation Director with Prudential Property Services, the family business having been sold.

In November 1991 he set up his own practice in as an Independent Surveyor concentrating on Valuation of residential property. The practice area covered Bexhill, Hastings & St Leonards, Rye, Battle and the Rother District and focused on Valuations for most purposes including taxation and litigation. Colin’s focus latterly has been on Leasehold Reform Act matters advising both freeholders and leaseholders.

Colin closed his practice in August 2016 after 50 years in the profession to join Oliver and Alex as a consultant and RICS Registered Valuer.
